Story

Kanakaraju (Varun Tej) leads a traditional folk performance troupe in Penukonda, located in the Rayalaseema region. He falls in love with Chaitra (Ritika Nayak), who works at the Kia plant and is a die-hard K-pop fan. As Kanakaraju slowly gets closer to Chaitra, his life takes an unexpected turn when a Korean spirit possesses him.

Who is this mysterious spirit? What is its backstory? Why does it choose Kanakaraju, and how does it enter his body? More importantly, how do Kanakaraju, Chaitra, and his friend Kisttappa deal with this unusual situation? The answers unfold as the story progresses.

What could have easily turned into a blockbuster loses some steam because of its climax and average CGI work. The final portions feel rushed, and a few important explanations could have made the ending more convincing. Also, some violent moments could have been toned down considering the film is aimed at family audiences.

Thaman S delivers decent songs, while his background score adds good energy to several key moments. Manojh Reddy's cinematography is visually impressive, especially during the Korean portions, which are captured beautifully. Editor Satyaa deserves appreciation for maintaining a crisp pace throughout the film.

Writer-director Merlapaka Gandhi gives fresh hope for Tollywood horror-comedies with his entertaining narration. The screenplay is consistently filled with humorous moments, and the witty one-liners land well. Even the much-talked-about 'amateurish' dialogue has been used effectively. One particular sequence in the second half featuring Satya, Ritika Nayak, and Muralidhar Goud stands out as one of the funniest episodes in the film.
